Club MiniMAX Thanks You for Your Support of this Worthy Cause
In
the spirit of the club to keep kart racers safe, Club MiniMAX has stepped up to
the plate once again. This time, it's to protect all the drivers at the Florida
Winter Tour with a brand new barrier system at the Homestead track. Over 900
feet of custom karting barriers from Kart Impact Safety Systems (KISS) are in
route to the super speedway in Homestead, Florida right now. But this seemingly
simple idea takes money and time to deliver, and the Club MiniMAX crew and
their sponsors came through in a big way.
RJ Valentine of KISS barriers hooked up with Club Founder Joe Gennari to
coordinate quick deliver of the barriers on-time. RJ knows the importance of
the safety, especially in the barrier area, and his commitment to the karting
community shines though," explained Gennari. "The Club took a loan to make this
happen, knowing we could find people in the karting community to support this
project."
Already the Club has had people step up in a big way, including Club directors
Joe & Neil Enerson as well as Andre Martins of Tony Kart of Florida.
The idea of for barriers started with a call for more safety from Florida Winter
Tour promoter Bill Wright. His call to Tony Schroeder of Homestead Karting got
the ball moving and the deal was in motion.
The barriers, nicknamed KISS barriers, are a polyethylene block featuring a
unique design that anchors the barriers together and to the track. Lightweight
and portable make them an excellent choice for temporary tracks like Homestead.
